Something big is coming this year, and its from Jaguar. The British supercar maker is readying its newest and fastest car ever. The new Jaguar F-Type SVR can hit 0-60 mph in 3.5 sec and reach a 200 mph top speed.
The 1705 kg F-Type SVR is the first Jag car to be fettled by Jaguar Land Rover’s Special Operations division, and its 567 bhp 5.0-liter supercharged V8 engine is 25 bhp more powerful than the F-Type R models.
The F-Type SVR will be available as a coupe and convertible, and gets a few aerodynamic upgrades to help it cut through air. Its front bumper has been extended outward to allow bigger quantities of air into the new cooling system and around the tires. It also features an upgraded splitter, a revised diffuser, a flat underfloor for better aerodynamics and an eight-speed ZF automatic transmission.
Inside, you’ll find a unique SVR seats with Lozenge Quilt pattern, suedecloth-covered instrument, SVR updated steering wheel, anodized aluminium shift paddle and a leather-finished sports seat. Other major upgrades include a new damper, a titanium exhaust, ceramic brakes, anti-roll bars, and lightweight forged wheels.
The SVR is 55 pounds lighter than F-Type R, thanks to its new Inconel Titanium exhaust, which cuts 35 pounds of weight and gives the SVR a unique note. Carbon-ceramic brakes are added as well, which results in a 21 kg weight saving as well as improving the SVR’s braking ability on track.
In addition, SVR is also promising faster performance, courtesy of its eight–speed ZF automatic transmission and new 20-inch forged aluminium alloys.
