Bugatti is back again with yet another bang—the Bugatti Chiron. It has a horsepower of 1500 along with an 8.0-liter sixteen-cylinder engine. The car utilizes four turbos to make 1180 lb-ft. of torque and effortlessly manages the 1500 hp. Now if that isn’t something, then I don’t know what is. The company claims that the top speed of the new successor is 261 mph, I say phew!
As a hyper car, Bugatti has managed to currently grab the headline of being the ultimate automotive with Chiron. It is easily giving Ferrari and other big companies a tough time. Even though the car is 1.6 inches wider, 3.2 inches longer, and 0.3 inch taller than its predecessor Veyron; the car due to the carbon fiber manages to maintain approximately the same weight. The 4440-pound car is the world’s first production sports car with a horse power of 1500.
Bugatti has special plans for this limited edition car; yes they are simply manufacturing 500 of this beauty, making it all the more irresistible. The price you ask? This fall the car will be up for sale at $2.6 million!
The seven-speed dual clutch automatic transmission routes the torque to all the four wheels, making it all the more amazing. The car also uses around 13 gallons of coolant that circulates through two separate cooling loops. Chiron has 5 drive modes, namely, the standard EB automatic mode, top speed, handling, lift, and autobahn. All of the modes can be easily accessed with a simple dial located on the steering wheel.
The company claims that the car’s structure is as firm as those supporting LMP1 racing prototypes. While the C-shaped curve that is carved into either side of the body reminds enthusiasts of the Type 57 Atlantic and Atalante (the company’s 1930s-era art-deco masterpieces). Chiron has the quintessential Bugatti horseshoe-shaped grille and it is lined by quad-LED headlights. The aerodynamic elements of the car are a four-position rear wing, front splitters, a hydraulically operated diffuser and much more.
Another interesting titbit to this article, Bugatti has already sold the first 200 Chirons in just a week!
