The 2016 LA Auto Show is expecting to feature over 50 North American and global car debuts. Out of all these debuts you will notice a lot of SUVs are coming to market, Americans still love their SUVs. Manufacturers are always eager to launch new SUVs because they have higher profit margins, and the recent low gas prices has emboldened them.
A lot of car brands will debut SUVs throughout the auto show including Subaru which has promised a “surprise” at the LA Auto Show. Subaru is expected to feature a concept SUV, possibly of the Tribeca series. Thus far not much is known about the concept car except that it could have seven seats.
One of the most eagerly anticipated debuts is Alfa Romeo’s very first SUV offering. Not much is known about the car other than that it will be named Stelvio, after an Italian mountain. The Stelvio is expected to be available for sale in 2017. There has been no official press release from Alfa Romeo, so the only information out there are from spy photos. It has been noted that the Stelvio’s interior and engine’s look similar to the Giulia saloon.
Another interesting event in the LA Auto Show would be Mini debuting its SUV Mini Countryman. Everybody knows Mini for producing cars that fit its name, but at the LA Auto, it will debut its biggest car yet. According to Mini, the Countryman is it’s only vehicle to exceed four meters in length. It can seat five people and the seats can be moved back a further 13cm for more leg room. Not only is it spacious, the Mini Countryman is reputed to handle well off road too.
More will be revealed at the coming show, which is open to the public between 18-27 November, so keep your eyes open.
